C/D Street Traffic ... Thank You for your Patience/Much Better on Thursday!!

A traffic jam in Deer Park?

Yes, there was a mess on C/D Street and trying to turn from Colville to "C" the first day of school.  As it was the first day of school, which always creates some traffic issues, and the roundabout is not yet completed, we ended up with very difficult traffic.  Some travelers took twenty minutes to go from Deer Park Middle School to Deer Park Elementary.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience and wish there was more we could do to remedy the situation.

The District has been in contact with the Sheriff's Department and we will have our Deer Park Sheriff available to help with traffic control tomorrow.  Also, as it is the second day of school, we know more students will be taking the bus to school which will help with congestion.  Lastly, the roundabout is slated for completion in early September.  Again, this should help.
