Crecelius Selected for Open Board Position
At its regular meeting on August 24, the Deer Park School District Board of Directors selected Lyle Crecelius to represent Director District No. 1. This seat was open due to the passing away of long time Board member David Franklin in late July. Crecelius, who served one term on the Board as a representative of Director District No. 2, including a year as Board President, moved from Dist. No. 2 to Dist. No. 1 in January. The Spokane County Elections Office is holding a special filing period August 26, 27 and 28 for people who live in Director District No. 1 and who would like to run for this position. The Board's appointment of Mr. Crecelius is only through the November election. The winner of the November election will serve the remainder of Mr. Franklin's term. If you have questions regarding the election process, the director district boundaries or the director terms, please do not hesitate to contact Mick Miller at 464-5507 or millerm@dpsd.org.
